AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
01

Apply enough hand sanitizer to cover all surfaces of your hands. Rub your hands together, making sure the sanitizer gets in between your fingers and on the backs of your hands. Keep rubbing your hands together until they are dry. This usually takes around 20 seconds.
To remove the second skin our artist used the night of your tattoo, gently wash the surrounding skin with mild soap and warm water, can also do this in the shower. Carefully peel back the second skin, pulling back over itself rather than ripping it off like a Band-Aid.
02

03

Use warm water to gently wet the tattooed area. Use a mild, fragrance-free soap. Gently lather the soap in your hands and apply it to the tattooed area. With your fingertips, firmly clean the tattoo to remove any plasma, blood, and ink residue. Do not use a washcloth, loofah, or sponge, as these can be too abrasive and may also cause infection
Gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel or a very clean, soft cloth. Do not rub the tattoo, as this can cause irritation.
04

05

Carefully open the fresh second skin packaging, peel off the white back layer to expose the adhesive side. Second skin is extremely sticky so be careful not to touch any of the adhesive with your fingers.
Position the second skin over the tattoo and gently lay it down on the skin. Start from one side and slowly smooth it over the tattoo to avoid air bubbles and wrinkles, ensuring it adheres well to the skin. Pay special attention to the edges to make sure they are securely attached. Carefully peel off the top protective layer, leaving only the thin barrier film on your skin. Leave the second skin on for 2-3 days
06

07

After 3 days remove your second skin as described in 02. Using clean fingers, take a small amount of the aftercare balm (a pea-sized amount is usually sufficient for a small to medium-sized tattoo)
Gently apply the balm to the tattooed area. Use light, circular motions to spread the balm evenly across the tattoo. Make sure to cover the entire tattoo, but avoid using too much product. Apply just enough balm to lightly moisturize the tattoo. Over-application can suffocate the skin and delay the healing process.Re - apply balm every morning or if you notice your tattoo looking very dry. Your tattoo will be fully healed in roughly two weeks, during this time it’s important to keep it clean and avoid submerging it underwater. be sure to continue moisturising your tattoo every few days even after it’s healed. This keeps the surface skin healthy and ensures your tattoo will look perfect.
